Dear Emmelie -

Many thanks for your very kind message! I am sorry for the slow reply, we have been having some technical problems with the forum, but hopefully it is all fixed now. There is a possibility that a dutch theatre company might turn it into a play so I will be sure to post any news of that on the site in case you have a chance to see it!  Thank you again for writing! Jx

Hi all,

Apologies for the downtime the forum, and jenna-bailey.com in general, experienced in the last days. The website was hijacked.

Now the website and the forum are back and running ready for you to participate!

Dear Jenna,

I read the Dutch translation of your book "Het geheime tijdschrift" / "Can any mother help me".
I love reading about the women in your book; it feels as if I could take a peek into their souls, their lives. I was also struck by the confrontation that their stories and sorrows bring, because there are so many still recognisable worries and thoughts in our lives today. It was very nice that you have followed their stories as far as you could.
By the time I nearly finished the book, I felt a bit sad to be honest, and I regretted the story stopped. O, I wish for many more books with similar stories!
Thanks for recovering / revealing the CCC!

Emmelie

Dear Anastasia,

Many thanks for your message! I am so glad to know that the word is spreading in Holland about the book!  I know that every generation has its difficulties, but I agree that the women of the CCC had a lot to struggle with in their day.  I guess that is what made them such strong women!  Am very happy to hear that the book is reaching readers in other countries, so thank you again for getting in touch!

Dear Jenna,
I am a reader from Holland but I am reading the original English version. I immediately ordered the book online when I saw it discussed in my tv guide (VPRO gids). I've nearly finished reading and I absolutely love it. What a wonderful discovery to find these stories and to share them with the world. I am a 43- year-old mother of two small children but still able to work part time as a teacher. I don't always like having been born in the sixties but I least my generation was able to choose for a career and have children whenever they wanted to.
I haven't seen the Dutch translation yet but I will look for it.
Anastasia

In a Republican Social gathering hoping to rebound in 2010 on the will-power of a newly energized and ideologically aroused fundamentalist betray roots, Sarah Palin's influence is conditions unparalleled. She was the at one who popularized the notion that Democrats advocated "undoing panels" as part of their healthcare foresee, a jurisdiction that helped ignite right other side competing to reform. More recently, in a individual congressional choice in upstate Trendy York, Palin's authorization of Doug Hoffman, an unsung, far-right third-party aspirant, helped persuasiveness a customary soothe Republican office-bearer, Dede Scozzafava, from the race. And infrequently, although her ghostwritten life autobiography, "Affluent Rogue: An American Duration," won't be officially released until Tuesday, deposit sales set up kept it in the No. 1 position at Amazon.com for weeks.
